- Traditional Sindhi Ralli with applique and kantha stitching. Large fabric shapes are hand-cut and stitched onto a black cotton base. 4-panel geometric layout in mustard yellow, cobalt blue and red on black, framed by red and yellow zigzag borders. Dense hand-running stitches across the whole surface create texture, warmth and durability.
Artisans hand-cut each shape and applique it onto cotton with thousands of tiny kantha stitches. It takes days, sometimes weeks. The result is a quilt that is heavy with craft and light with soul.
